I found the reading "Rose" the most interesting. I have always heard it was difficult to waitress, but this shed all new light on the matter and explained how it was a popular and demanding job for women in the past.
I liked how it showed knowledge on learning and mastering a skillset and practiced it daily in a demanding environment. The reading continuation of "Freshman Year" was good as well. showing variations of culture in a community. I found some things threw experience that related directly to some of her findings so I was amble to get a stronger appreciation and understandings of why and how things work. I like how she explained in one part that there are groups of people that do intend to be a part of the community but in the end don't let it interfere with their personal life. its kind of a sad idea really but it can be seen every day in the world around us. most all communities have sub categories that break off into often seemingly more important activities regardless of there nature. and I think that we are all victim to this at one point or another. we fall into a routine and exclude a large percentage of cultural impact.
